Hi,
Got 2 problems really.
1. On my iMac, when I try to download a pdf from a website, I sometimes get a black window (background) with an Acrobat logo;
2. When I tried to download Acrobat Reader 9 to fix this problem, the Apple installer starts toinstall and then says,"Adobe Reader 9 cannor be installed on this computer."
Any ideas please?

What OS are you running? Which iMac are you running? There may be
different versions for Intel and PPC computers.

I'm running an iMac 2GHz Intel Core Duo running OSX 10.4.11

Did you download the intel or PPC version of Reader. If you download the
wrong one it won't install on your computer.

Just looked at the download - its ppc - thanks MIke. I'll now try again

Mike,

I downloaded the new PPC version and when I tried to open pdfs off of the internet again, got the same black window problem.

I rebooted my machine and left it overnight as I had to go out - this morning, it opened website pdfs with no problem.

Murray,

Download Onyx or the old version of Applejack (the new version is only
for 10.5). Use either program to clear out your caches. See if that helps.
