Flattening PDF in Acrobat 9 changes pagenumbering from roman numeral to arabic
After generating a low-res PDF in InDesign CS4, I open the PDF in Acrobat 9, and the first few pages (numbered as roman numeral) are fine. After adding a watermark, we're still fine. But, after flattening the PDF, the roman numeral page numbers have changed to arabic numbers, and oddly does not start at page one. It randomly starts at 200-something.
Arabic pages (which initially start at page 1 further down) are not affected.
The work-around for this is to select the affected pages, go to "Number Pages" and fix the section start, choosing roman numerals.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, is this the only way to fix it, or is there perhaps some missed step on my part that is causing this issue?
