Default I am thinking of upgrading to 6.5, Is it worth it?

I just bought AF 6.0 Production B. not long a go. I see that the new 6.5 version has lots of good stuff and plug-ins... the question is: Is this new version way better then the last and is it worth upgrading, also it's the interface any different? I am asking because I bought Total Training DVD class for 6.0 Production and I don't want 6.5 to confuse me as I am learning the interface.

Thanks.

The Problem is not the Money but the Learning Curve, as I said I have been watching Total Training for 6.0, so I don't want to have to upgrade Total Training because of the interface or any major changes on the way AF looks now. I am new to all of this and I don't have any clients right now. $99 is good as long as I get no major interface changes as I am training now.

Thanks

I use FCPHD on a G5 @ghz with 4GB of ram, OS 10.3.4

Hope this help.

For goodness sakes, it's only $99 to upgrade!! For $99 upgrade, you get $600 worth of Final Effects plug-ins and a whole bunch of groovy new features!

If you have to contemplate a $99 upgrade, maybe you need to get some new clients... you know, with money?

No interface changes that I've noticed so far.
Oh, some minor changes in the Effects palette to manage animation presets. Your training won't be wasted.

(And anyway, you can keep both versions available until you feel like deleting the old one. That's what I always do, works fine.)

I know that in the past Total training has been pretty good about offering upgrade pricing or a small supplemental for new features. Currently the upgrade from 6 to 6.5 is listed at $169. So that $270 to be right up to date with an awesome package.

Huge changes usually mean a new version number not a dot release.

But as the others said this is a really, really good deal. Colour Finesse is all the colour correction tools you could ever need short of power windows and you get all the old FE effects updated and thrown in, grain surgery, OMF import, a much improved tack and above all you can alter the colour of the interface :-)

It is, in my opinion, under-priced.
