When I fire up AE my left monitor color and size blow out to a point where you can hardly see anything. I have to reboot to reset. Any thoughts? I searched the forum but could not locate a match. Right monitor is ok.

#1. Make sure you are usiing the most updated drivers
#2. Wiggle the cable connections of the left monitor at the card and at the monitor. If you see glitches on screen, you may have a bad cable. If theree are no visible glitches on screen, move on to #3.
#3. Switch the connections on your card (right to left). If the blow-out now occurs on your right monitor, you have a bad video card.

Unfortunately none of the 3 items happended. All the other Adobe products work fine, just AE on the right monitor. Any other thoughts?

You tried all 3 things? You got the flash on the right monitor after switching the cables?

That sounds like a video card problem to me. A video card pumps out a lot more pixels with a Video / Motion Graphics program than with a still program (PS, ILL, etc). You may not see the problem in those programs.

You never listed your rig set-up so I am guessing on all of this anyway.

Looks like you hit it right on the head. I replaced the Shaphire card with my older Matrox G450 and not problems. It appears the annalog monitor plug was bad. ATI says they have never seen this before. Thanks for the help.
