Test strips?
I have a lot of probs with printing - things tend to come out in chilly colors when they should be warm and so on. When I used to do photographic color printing, I made test strips to try out exposures and color balance. Is there any way to do this in PSE? Would save a lot of wasted paper and ink. Perhaps selecting bits and printing separately - I can think of ways but it stretches my brain .... so would like advice.

Have just tried out your excellent system for test strips, and have encountered a problem. I'm sure it must be something I'm doing wrong, but this is what happens. OK I make the selection plus new layer plus moving the 'strip' onto the new piece of paper. All fine, but when I make the second selection and try to use the move tool to shift it over (I'm making vertical strips), a new copy layer appears, which I haven't asked for. The rogue copy layer is the one that moves, leaving the ****nal one behind, so that I have two overlapping strips. Have never had this problem before with moving selections, so have I perhaps checked something that I shouldn't have? Do let me know, as I'd really like to make this work. Hazel |

Good deal! As I mentioned there are a lot of shortcuts for my longer instructions, perhaps I was off base writting the lengthy steps, I just wanted to make sure you saw each step for what it was...kind of like making sure kids know how to multiply before letting them depend on a calculator...maybe it was a bad idea on my part.
