CS and Athlon

Hi...

Haven't posted here before, but I've searched through the forum & haven't found a specific answer to my question, so here goes...

I'm holding off on a CS upgrade because I've heard that it "doesn't work" on Athlon processors - only P4s. From some of the "buggy CS" posts I'm getting the impression that at least a couple of the folks who seem to be having trouble with CS are running Athlons....

So what's the story? Should I sit tight with 7, try the upgrade, or wait for fixes before I try the upgrade? (My home computer is an Athlon, my new laptop will be a P4)

I don't know where you heard that - it works just fine on Athlon processors.

I've been running it on an Athalon ( 1.4 then 2 GHz) since "LE" with NO
problems.

I was about to pick up the upgrade edition at a local shop and got this info from the clerk. Figured I'd check it out here first.

The link below is one source of the myth that PSCS doesn't work on Athlons. For older versions it used to be stated as Pentium class processor.
