help bulk image resizing

I've got lots of images different dimensions - trying to
resize them to the same dimensions to populate an online
store.

Is there a way to modify say 50 images in 1 operation and maintain
sharpness?

Create an action, then use the batch command.

Or you might want to use File|Automate|Fit Image...

Even better, Use Fit Image in an action you then run a Batch with.
