Help with texture effect...

I am trying to achieve the camo effect on the backgroud of this picture <http://www.pbase.com/image/20473870> I have played with the distort filters but for some reason I cannot get it right...

I did a google search on "camouflage photoshop tutorial". Bunch of hits. This one has textures and patterns you can use if you like:
