Default Max print size using the Epson 10600

I am trying to print a CMYK image 40x96 inches at 150dpi. I can do all the setup steps but when I come back to the print preview window Photoshop crashes with a program error message. The size window in preview says 34x83
that apperars to be as big as I can go. I have 500 MB of RAM with 90% allocated to PS, running XP home on a new HP 2.4 Ghz. WUZUP?
