Photoshop 6.0 compatible on XP?

this is my first time, please help ...customer service at Adobe told me Photoshop 6.0 will not work on XP My supervisor is forcing me to try an install anyway ...should I try it? Please help! Thank you

they lied, or you misunderstood. It works, but I don't believe it's supported.
