PS Newbie - Need advice for batch scanning photos

I'd use the twain drivers. And I'd scan at the highest OPTICAL resolution your scanner permits if you think you'll EVER need to go back and get a better scan. Save as psd or tif (or even png). JPG is a final (i.e. for output) format only. It degrades with each save.
