Default Excessive Illustrator Crashes

I have a huge crashing issue- we have 3 machines running CS2 and OS 10.4.7. We crash (Illustrator)between 5 and 25 times per day per machine (literally)!

I have been on the phone with Adobe support- have reinstalled the system 3 different times on each computer- no luck...

Does anyone else have excessive crashing issues?

Some details:
2 G4s 1.25 gig dual processors, 768 mb ram
1 G5 dual, 1 gig ram

Suitcase Fusion

Generally no other software running

We use a file server- no files stored on the individual machines

Fonts are stored local

Any help is appreciated!

Could be the server.. could be the fonts... could be Suitcase... could be the actual artwork being created.

Since you've reinstalled the system. I'd start trouble-shooting the above items. Have users work on local files.. see if the crashing stops. Disable Suitcase.. remove some fonts.... have users note when the application crashes and what they are doing specifically.

I've not experienced any crashing issues other than when working with very, very complex patterns or artwork and attempting to free transform. I've simply learned to save before attempting to free transform complex files.

Perhaps the connection to the server at the servers end?

But I would try a different type manager other than Suitcase that will probably do it.
