What would be the cause of an illustrator cs file size being too large? It is 21,403 kb. During the creation of this file I did use one of the built The file is meant to be a logo. How do I get the file size smaller so that I can easily transfer the file to others that need to use it for printing?

It's a circle with text wrapped around on the inside of it, the border of the circle is one of the borders geometric 2 changed to another color, then under the circle 4 words. The printing shop needs the native file but I am having trouble making this file smaller so that I can send it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A quick file reduction is to do a save as and uncheck Create PDF Compatible File. Also read the thread in the link below. steve

Also try running the action 'Delete Unused Palette Items' a couple of times, then 'Save as'.

If all else fails, send through a large email prog called YouSendIt. Try
lowering your resolution. I know mine defaults at 300, way larger than
Ineed. But don't drop it too low or you will lose integrity.
