Default God, How I Hate CS's New Tile Full Pages Method



I can't believe how much this feature ****s now that it has been moved to the Print dialogue box...
It used to work just fine in the Do***ent Setup window, now I can't tile the pages the way I want.
I had created a w1000xh3000 pixels do***ent in AI10 with just four pages tiled vertically, ready for print. When I open it in CS, it insists in filling up the screen with 18 pages instead of just the four necessary to cover the area of my artboard. I tried everything possible in the Setup section of the Print dialogue...
And when I try to position them with the Page Tool it's impossible to adjust it so page 1 is on top, it's always page 5 the one that gets positioned instead!

So now instead of just

I'm getting

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
10 11 12
13 14 15
16 17 18

My pages are in 5, 8, 11 and 14 now. Arrrgghhh.
Is there any way around this other than moving all my objects to fit the application's new settings (something I'd loathe having to do)?

I'm with you 150%, Massimo. What they did to tiling (and page setup in general) has to be close to the top of the "WTF were they thinking?" list.
I've had some luck going under Setup>Options (in the print dialog) and setting the Origins to zero. But that isn't always a sure fix.

Two hours later I still can't understand WTF WERE THEY THINKING...
Was it fixed in CS2?
