Illustrator crash

When i open and close dokuments in illustrator it crashes!
Its pretty bad, like 10 times a day. Cant get any work done.
Anyone know what to do?
Im on a brand new dual G5 with OSX

Remove Adobe Online Plug-in, check for corrupt fonts, delete AI prefs, repair permissions. There are loads of posts in this forum on startup and shutdown crashes, and lots of good answers, too. Give a search a try, as well as the above.

But its a completley new install. But ill see, thanks.

Removing the plug-in worked for me, now I only crash once in a day or two. There could be other conflicts, however. Are you using FontBook? Switching to a professional program like Suitcase will help organise your fonts. If you already use Suitcase, disable Auto activation.

Can't have Norton Anti Virus running.
