Default Broken lines and text when creating an EPS file

Hi, I'm having a problem with text or lines in inDesign CS2 braking up. I know it's coming from inDesign and not our rip. The reason I know this is because when I open the eps file that was exported from inDesign in Photoshop as a rasterised file I can see the broken lines or text.
Now, what I've found out after doing a lot of test is that a drop shadow is the culprit. Each text box has a drop shadow. If I take the drop shadows off then I don't get any broken lines or text. Also, I just did a test using PDF setting. After creating a PDF and then open it up in Photoshop then I get a no broken lines or text. So other then creating PDF is there any solution when exporting an EPS file the will not give me a broken line ot text?

PS. Then are customer files and I really don't want to mess thier files. I just want to export and rip the files.

What Transparency Flattener Setting are you using? If you are using Medium, have you tried High Resolution?

Can you explain your workflow a bit more? Why EPS? If you have the
native files why not RIP them? What's wrong with PDF?

If you absolutely need EPS try exporting a PDF using 1.4 compatibility
and then create the EPS using Acrobat.

Yeah, I've tried Low, Medium and High. Still no luck.
