CS3.0.1: Text box & BG img

Hi,

I searched in help, but can't figure out a way to add a background image to a text box.

Suggestions?

You can't. A frame can containt text or a graphic, but not both. You need two frames for this.

Given the text box already in place...

Use Ctrl + D to place an image on the page.
Size it as you wish.
Use Object Arrange to "send to back"
Use the Transparency (Shift+F10) to make it fade as much as you want (or not).

Is that what you wanted?

Another question:

This is what my layers look like currently:

Top1: text box w/text & bg color
back: img @ 100% opacity

I can't figure out how to change the opacity of the bg color in the text box. Is it possible?

You forum members rock! The forum site layout could use some improvement though...similar to that of typicle forums.
