Default Naming PDF Presets - you've got to laugh…

I wanted to create a new preset based on "[PDF/X-1a:2001]" and called "PDF/X-1a:2001 (bleed)" however when saving the new preset the following error is displayed:

Adobe PDF Preset names cannot include these characters: / \ ? | * : " < > [ ]

Err, hello? All of the built-in preset names contain at least two of those characters!

Cheers,
Graham.

Rob's right.
Saving a preset with one of those characters saves it with those characters in the name, and the Mac can't use colons, and I'd stay away from slashes too. Dashes work OK or underscore.

This is definitely an Adobe issue not an Apple issue. The Finder won't let you put a colon in a file name, but if it runs into a file that already has one there, it will still handle it gracefully.
