Hey,

I am a newbie to ID (former QXP guy). I created an ID file with dozens of text boxes. The next day when I opened the ID file there was a problem- the text would not display, yet the text box IS there. When I highlight the text box, you can see it, but none of the content.

If I scroll across page, the text shows up as it should, but then in a moment, it disappears.

I have tried just about every possible option/view/etc. but can't seem to make it reappear.

I have also scoured the tutorials, but I am not finding what I need.

Any ideas?

Is the type the same color as the background?

Check the opacity of the text frame.

I get a similar effect when the frame has been set to an opacity of 0%

O.K. I figured it out, but still don't understand why?!

When the file was reopened, the display performance setting (under the view menu) was set to "typical display" and when I changed it to "optimized display" then everything was visible.

Check the opacity of the text frame.

Did you check the opacity? (or any other transparency effects)
