Default Bland pork?

Hi. There is a vendor at my local Farmer's market that sells
beautiful looking racks of back ribs at $2.99 per pound(Canada
Bucks). I have purchased from these people before; pork chops, and
loin roast, and pork butt roasts. All of their pork I have found to
be very bland which is why I don't purchase from them anymore even
though they are so cheap it's not funny. Any insight into why their
pork is so bland? I'm wondering, it's from China? Their back ribs
have so much meat on them, that it seems like a shame not to buy
them. I've never seen back ribs this meaty. I'm worried about
bland. I can season them up of course, but I like some of the natural
pork flavour there. They have heaps of meat at 9:00 AM, and it sells
out. Nothing better than fresh pork.

Well, it's a farmer's market. Does the vendor look Chinese?

Further, when I've gone shopping in Canada, the country of origin for
fresh food has always been marked. Not true where you live?

But pork is bland when the hogs' diet is bland. Try raising your own
pig, on table scraps.

The vendor is Polish. The country of origin is not marked because all
the meat is not in a package.
This fellow's pork is more bland than usual is what I'm saying.

They grown them fast and big and with a generic commercial feed.
That makes for bland swine.

Tell him what you think and maybe after a few complaints he'll try
and put out a better product.

Worst thing that can happen is he goes on a murderous rampage
throughout the market before taking his own life.
