Default Quiet 'ere innit? (also mentions 'fame at last')

No-one has posted this evening. How strange.

Bas and sprog are at Barnet footie. I have just had lamb's kidneys with
onions, garlic, rum (reduced), parsley and thyme. With rice and a
salad. Lovely.

PS Mike's 'fame at last' thread has now disappeared from my screen. I
wonder who has Dave F's tape now?

Are you going to tell?

Sounds good... tho I'm interested by kidney and rum... not something
I'd even vaguely considered!

BTW tonight I've mainly been eating... pizza... homemade of course...
3rd time I've done this (based on a waitrose pizza)... I do really
love the combination of goats cheese and rosemary... so worth sharing;

Goats Cheese, Rosemary and Carmelised Onion Pizza
(Serves 2)

Base
300g of bread flour
1/2 - 1 tsp of salt
1/2 - 1 tsp of sugar
200ml warm water
yeast

Topping
Goats cheese
Rosemary
Red onion
1/2 tbs of brown sugar
1 slug of red wine
1 tin of chopped tomarto's
Oregano

Make the dough by adding all the dried ingredients to a bowl.
Gradually pour the warm water in whilst mixing with a spoon or hand.
Kneed for 5 minutes, with extra flour if needed, roll out onto a
baking tray.

Chop the onion into 8 or 10ths, and place in frying pan along with
sugar and red wine. Place over a low heat (*)

Pour the tin of tomartos into another pan, add a very large pinch of
dried oregano (you can also add finely chopped onion if you like).
Place over a low heat.

Take 4 sprigs of romesmary, remove the leaves and finely chop.

Once the dough has had 30-45 minutes to rise, cover dough with the
toppings, and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

Regards
Mark

(*) I'm not sure its the best way of carmelising onion.. just it seems
to work... the sweetness from the sugar/wine and the tartness from the
goats cheese... mmm, but perhaps could be improved.

I look in each night but as Mike [or should we say Carol?? ] would know, the
high demand of "fame" puts a strain on ones social life ...... let alone
trying to find free time to meat friends on the ng

Starvation diet, due to younger sister feeding me way too much food whilst I
was back home .......... or maybe it was tooooo much beer. ))

Not me. Mind you with all the photos and now tapes going around looks like
I will be able to walk amongst you all with out you knowing who I am. ))

Oops, I should perhaps have posted an update. Sorry.

Received from you, but I had to wait until Saturday to be able to
collect it from the sorting office - my letterbox wasn't large enough
according to the card left by the postie (I think I posted that info in
the thread).

Viewed and enjoyed the tape :-)

Mailed 1st class to Ophelia yesterday. Aside to Ophelia, if you haven't
played the tape yet don't rewind it! The prog is not at the beginning
of the tape, after watching I rewound to the start of the prog so you
only need to press play. Thanks to June for doing the same for me.

Malcolm

PS Also my thanks to Dave for making the recording.

Don't know, but my original tape that they used has been returned
by the production company, I had assumed they would lose it.

Count yourself lucky. I had quinoa. I'm told it's pronounced keen-wa.
