Default ABM electricity cost.

I saw some discussion here recently (LOL, the posts could have been months
old) speculating about how much it costs to run an ABM.

Well, I have a meter that measures power used and I just baked a 2lb loaf on
the wholewheat setting (which uses the most power as it pre-heats) and the
meter says it used 0.2 of a KW/hour or unit. (The meter is only accurate to
0.1 of a unit but I was watching it and it only just ticked over to 0.2 in
the last 10 minutes of baking.)

My electricity costs me NZ$0.25 per KW/hr so that's about 5 cents for me to
cook make a loaf of bread in my ABM. I would think that they would all use a
similar amount. In fact most probably use less than mine as mine has a large
viewing window and a LOT of hot air comes out of the top vent when it's
baking so I don't think it's the most efficient design on the market.
