Default Do You Take Leftover Rolls From A Restaurant?

I remember The Oak Room, The Palm Court, The Oyster Bar and One CPS
(Central Park South), but while The Persian Room sounds familiar (a
night club?), I don't remember it. It may have closed a long time ago.

Oh pshaw, on Sat 16 Sep 2006 03:07:12a, Margaret Suran meant to say...

The Persian Room opened in 1934 and became one of the most renown of New
York City's supper clubs, and was still open in the 1980s, but I don't know
when it closed. My parents saw Duke Ellington there in 1937 during their
honeymoon. I remember seeing Liza Minelli and Barbra Streisand perform
there in the 1960s, and Lainie Kazan in the 1980s. An uncountable number
of top performers appeared there over the decades, including several of the
Big Bands. I wish I knew more. It was a beautiful room and for an
entertainment venue served excellent food.
