That was GOOD...

So very often, we (adults) have the 'attention span' of little more than
a gnat (look at how ONLY 'sound bites' now 'pass' for 'news' every
evening) and so easily 'forget' just what it is that these people 'put
on the line' DAILY ...much less what that 'experience' will do to the
REST OF THEIR LIVES ....whether they know it or not !

_2_ words shoud be 'emblazened' FOREVER on our common pyche ...."NEVER
FORGET !"

Ahhhhhhhh yeah....kinda' sorta'

In my time about 70% of it was spent 'attached' to ships (due to my
'job')....but we also lived in Japan for 4 yeas and in Hawaii for 3 .

I would have to say that I'm pretty much a 'Pacific Baby'....having
spent so much of my time there that it was almost more familiar that my
childhood bedroom at home.

For almost 5 years, Hong Kong, Manila, and Subic Bay were almost '2nd
homes' for me, at least 6 months out of the year.

When Viet Nam was in full swing, we 'slipped' in and out so very often
that I totally 'lost count' of those numbers.

Days gone by.....
