Default Gari Restaurant

My wife and I decided to do our Valentine's dinner a night early fearing the
storm warnings. Gari serves Japanese fusion cuisine and is located on
Harvard Street just outside of Coolidge Corner in Brookline. The chef/owner
Gary has worked as chef at Pho Pasteur and at Uni, the sushi bar side of
Clio.

We asked the chef to bring us dishes he's proud of. We had a Scallop
sashimi dish with a delicious marinade, a great tuna tartar, the best fried
calamari we've ever had, a spectacular yellowtail sashimi, and a sea bass
roll with hot oil poured over it tableside. They had a nice selection of
sake which will be expanded further in coming months. We highly recommend
this place to anyone who enjoys sushi.
