Hmmm.... I wonder if that might not be even better broiled, so that as the
bacon cooks it bastes the shrimp, rather than dripping down onto the coals
and flaring up.

(Don't get me wrong; it also sounds excellent grilled. This wasn't meant as
a criticism in any way.)
