Default Indian grocery store

Any recommendations for a good Indian grocery store? I've been shopping
at Kashmir in Brookline, but as of late the spices haven't seemed as
fresh, and the store is very small. I'd like to find some place inside Rt
128, but I wouldn't mind traveling a bit.

There's a small one behind the CVS in Woburn. Sorry, I don't know the
name of the place. I've bought a few things there from time to time.

I passed a truck recently in front of Punjabi Dhaba in Inman Square
recently that listed on its side the names and addresses of India Foods
& Spices, Ghandi and India Pavilion restaurants in Central Square,
Punjabi Dhaba and Haveli restaurants in Inman, and I think one other
grocer or restaurant I forget, perhaps one of the ones in Union Square.
Apparently there's a mini-conglomerate of some kind out there.

In any case, there are two Indian grocers I know of in Union Square --
Bombay Market, and Little India, both near the intersection of
Somerville Ave and Bow Street near Market Basket. I'm not a regular at
either, but they're a couple of options if you're near there.

And in Burlington, on Cambridge Road [Rt 3A] about a mile NW of 128/95,
there's a little shopping center on your right just before Burlington
High School. There are two Indian/Pakistani grocery stores and one
Chinese market that always seems to be filled with more Indian shoppers
than Chinese. Many, many South Asian items, including produce and frozen
foods. Also Indonesian items. The Chinese store also has an extensive
spice area with amazingly low prices. I'll never buy spices at Stop &
Shop again. This is where I get my mango juice and mango pulp.

Just be sure to check the expiration dates at the Chinese
store. Sometimes you will find that they expired YEARS ago!
