If it's like France, it's unknown so no demand so no import. Vicious
circle, what.
Do you have many British expats nearby, I can't remember? Sometimes they
have their own network: the place I was visiting in France has a strong
British community and they have a specialised shop in the little village
that does everything they miss, including special orders. Maybe
something like this exists in Umbria?

Expats are almost equally Brits and Germans, and there are a couple of
import shops because so many caregivers are Asian or S American... no
likker however.
