Default Walthamstow recommendation

Hello everybody

Would anyone who knows the Walthamstow area like to recommend a pub for us?
Ideally, somewhere without any canned music at all, as my friend's just
come back from SE Asia and I don't want to struggle to hear her over the
din from the latest yoof beat combos.

Obviously, a decent pint's essential. It doesn't have to be Walthamstow:
somewhere nearby accessible by public transport would be OK.

TIA - and a Happy New Year to all UKFDRA-ers.

If consumers took even five per cent of their shopping away
from supermarkets and redistributed it among independents,
it would make an enormous difference. Just remember Tesco's
own words: 'Every little helps'.

Try the following Walthamstow pubs:

The Drum, Lea Bridge Road, London, E10 7EQ
This is a Wetherspoons pub with no canned music and a good range of real
ales.

The Village, Orford Rd, London, E17 9NL
This is located in Walthamstow village and does a good range of real ales.
