It might be worth trying the Farmers Market in Canterbury. Its brilliant at
that type of thing. You'll find it next to the Canterbury West train station. Haven't been down there for a while, but last time I did there was a good selection of produce. |

Thanks for this. It took my wife and me a while, testing roots from
several wrong plants first, at Pegwell nature reserve, but eventually we found some horseradish. The leaves weren't as lush as in the photo, they were yellowing and some were full of holes, but I thought I might as well test, and horseradish it turned out to be. Went back there a few days later, got 2kg of root (2kg after cleaning and removing brown bits) from one plant, on what was practically waste ground so no-one will be upset. Need it for a herbal tincture in case anyone's thinking what on earth does someone want 2kg of horseradish for. It will make a very nice internet story for family members who haven't had much experience of the net! Chris |

Good, glad you found some.
No, no-one will miss it there. You're not *supposed* to pick anything but if you've ever tried to stop horseradish growing you'll know that there's nothing to worry about! Next year I plan to pinch tons of the blackberries that grow everywhere so if it's the worst summer since the year dot you'll know why. Si |
