Wow, king crab!

A supermarket near me is getting some king crab, for a limited time, and
I'm not about to pass it up. I've had it in restaurants, both as legs
and as the meat in different preparations, but I've never done it
myself. If you got hold of some king crab, how would you prepare it?

I'd say, "OK, now - this water is going to feel a little warm..."

Aren't they usually cooked when sold as legs? I've never bought them
myself.. just thought thats how they come.

Yeah, both King Crab, and the far more plentiful Snow Crab, are cooked on the
boat and frozen. Subsequent handling can take a huge toll in quality.

I think they should be defrosted and heated by simmering in water. They are
generally salty, probably from being cooked in sea water, so don't salt the
water.
