I inform her that the change should be .57

she takes the change, takes the quarter out of it and includes some nickels.
now i have 52 cents. getting closer I decide to pull up and ask for the
nickel.

is this cashier dumb or skimming change on her shift?

Skimming. The register tells them how much change they owe you. If
they are bypassing that, they are pocketing the money for your entire
order. That's why you see signs (like Walgreen's, IIRC) that say "$5.00
if we don't offer you a receipt".

stupid, we were once in a burger cheff, the bill was around 4 dollars, DH
gives her a twenty, she pushes in two hundred she couldn't figure the change
in her head... neither could the team leader, assistant manager... so the

Once I was at a party in a nearby pub where drinks were served by the owner
of the place and three girls. Since I was drinking well one of the girls
started to think she colud fool me some of my money and when I paid 20 euros
for a 4 euro item she gave me back 6 euros, stealing me a good ten, and
tried to get far as soon as possible. I stopped her soon and told her she
gave me the wrong change, so she gave me another 5 euro bill. I stopped her
again told her queitly that I gave her 20 and have to pay 4 so she must give
me 16. She took another 5 bill and gave it to me. This made me suspicious
and since I was chatting with friends near the bar I started looking at her.
A shitfaced girl bougth a 4 euro beer and paid with a 50 euro bill, now
that's money, and the bitch gave her the rest is if the shitfaced girl had
piad with a 10: 6 euros. I knew beer costed 4 and I saw the 50 euro bill
going in and the 6 euros coming back and saw the shitcafed girl didn't
notice, she was talking, and took the 6 as if that was the right change. I
stopped her, told her she paid 50 and should get a change of 46 and not 6.
The bitch looked at me angry while she took out the change of the girl from
*her pockets* and not from the cashdrawer, demnostrating that she was
stealing change for herself. I went to talk to the owner who didn't believe
me so I brougth also the shitfaced girl who confirmed my version, and the
fact that the bitch took her change out of her pockets instead than from the
cashdrawer, showing she was stealing.
I loved to look at the bartender getting behind the bitch and shoving his
hands in her pocket and bring out what looked like a good 2 or 3 hundred
euros. The fucking bitch. She got fired on the spot and as she tried to
defend himself the boss took out the cell phone and told her "STFU or I call
the police, there are at least 2 persons witnessing your stealing. GTFO."
and he also showed to be a good bartender offering free beers for the value
of the money he found in the bitch's pockets.
BTW - she didn't even try to say that those bills were hers, the bitch, a
total thief.
