Default mistakes with too much liquid, how to correct

Just incorrectly measured 1 3/4 cup sherry when I meant to measure 3/4
cup (forgot I was using a 2 cup measure) Did the same with soy sauce.
This is for a sauce for short ribs. Not having enough sherry or soy
sauce to start over (company tomorrow, none in the house, don't feel
well so I can't run out and get more)I eliminated the water also to be
added. This will cook with tomatoes, scallions, garlic etc. over the
ribs for several hours. What can I expect? Did I make the right
decision with regard to the water.
Hope my friends won't notice. That's what you get for cooking
asian-style short ribs for the Jewish New Year :-)

Probably not. I would increase the water by the same error factor 1.75/.75
= 2.33

Increase the water by a factor of 2.33 then take out the required amount of
liquid for the recipe.

..75 cup Sherry + .75 cup Soy + X cup water + liquid required

The proceed as originally planned. cooking with tomatoes etc.
