Celebrity hotspot and renowned Japanese restaurant Nobu has

It calls the $50 dish on its own menu “environmentally challenged.”
It asks patrons to “ask your server for an alternative.” … estimates

Sorta like a vegetarian restaurant that offers beef but warns you it is
a terrible thing to eat and the cooks are disgusted by the process of
cooking it and the servers are horrified to bring it to you.

I think they are more than happy to serve it at $50 a pop.
However, some groups are drawing attention to the bluefin
problem so Nobu is now recommending alternatives. See:

seabass in a light tomato broth. A new menu popped up that looked just
the same, with the seabass listed, but instead of a description of the
preparation, there was their rationale for why they were not providing
it after 10 years of popularity. I thought that was pretty cool and
frankly--for me--educational.

It was even better than simply stripping it off the menu without explanation.
