Default Q-Fest update

The new date for the event is Easter weekend 2009.

I'll be making a SpreadSheet of those who have confirmed thus far.

Big Jim thinks its a good idea to be able to lock down the
reservations in the park, and not be "out of pocket". So I'm asking,
at Big Jim's and John's suggestion, for $20 for each confirmation.
(not per person), and we'll collect the balance when you get here.

Send your checks to:

Duwop thinks BigJim is being smart. Duwop thinks BigJim learned from
others.

Duwop thinks BigJim and crew are organizing a fun thing.

Duwop wishes he could go.

Are there going to be strippers, too?

Reserving/renting a pavilion for the weekend only costs $50-$100 at the
park (depending on which pavilion you want). I'm not saying the attendees
shouldn't chip in for it, but if there are 20 confirmations, that's $400
(plus the "balance").

(Was the trouble-maker just uninvited?)

BTW: Easter weekend is April 11th-12th, for those without access to
calendars... And I suspect these pavilions would be in high demand that
weekend so it's probably best to reserve one ASAP.

We are looking at pavilion #2 for 3 days. There are grocerys to buy. We
eat good. We usually donate leftover funds,
We been doing there things since 1997. Sometimes twice a year somewhere.
It is a great experience. Ya get to it around and drink adult beverages
(discreetly of course in most cases) And get a bellyful of good grub and
meet new friends. Of course some of you may not even have any friends.

OK - I thought it was potluck style, except for the rentals of
pavilion and a "smoker fee".

I'm not embarrassed to let it be known that I drink alcohol, so
screw the discretion!

Oh, you mean those pesky Texas laws. I'm all too familiar with
them. You're not even allowed to carry unopened beer with your
groceries through any Texas park (or walk the extra 1.2 miles to
bypass the park on the your way to/from the grocery store).

Hmm - not sure what that last bit is supposed to mean.
