I have one at http://www.sushifaq.com/wasabi but after a major DB crash
I lost all old posts (and learned a valuable lesson about trusting ISPs to backup my databases). It's back up, lightly moderated, but not very busy. -- HTTP://www.sushifaq.com/ The Sushi FAQ ...><((((º> HTTP://www.sushifaq.com/sushiotaku/ The Sushi Otaku Blog HTTP://www.sushifaq.com/sushiyapedia/ Sushi-Ya-Pedia Restaurant Finder HTTP://www.theteafaq.com/ The Tea FAQ HTTP://www.jerkyfaq.com/ The Jerky FAQ HTTP://www.omega3faq.com/ The Omega 3 Fatty Acids FAQ |

sometime in the recent past wwerewolff@yahoo.com posted this:
I just use the news server that my ISP provides - the key might be that you use Google groups. I cannot control what news my server downloads for me, I can only mark it read or not read, but have no filters on this group. The ISP clears it's cache often enough, so old posts come up as 'Expired - click to remove Expired' and I do, so then my browser only hold the active ones. The oldest post I've got goes back to 2-19-08 and from then until now, I have only one Spam on 4-21-08 subject: Mules Shoes. I use Google as little as I can - ever since they revealed that they keep dossiers on everybody who uses them and what they search, ostensibly for marketing purposes, hmmmn? so they can sell it to spammers - maybe that's your problem? -- Wilson N45 W67 |

Firefox + Greasemonkey helps me out in killfiling the spam on Google
Groups. After uploading Greasemonkey, go to http://www.penney.org/googlegroupsplus.user.js to activate the killfile. |
