frankly, I see more centrifugal tendencies in Pakistan.
Afghanistanis, and
Pakhtoons in NWFP have never accepted the Durand line. Affhanistan is
the
only country to have voted against Pakistan's entry into UN; not even
India
did. In a few decades if Afghanistan stabilizes, it is quite likely
to
demand the return of its rightful territories of NWFP. Peshawar used
to be
their winter capital, until the Sikhs took it away.
