A question for right-wingers to answer
Usually no. The public don't generally vote for a right-wing dictator in a
democracy. Nevertheless, historically United States government tends to
"remove" left-wingers in favor of installing a right-wing dictator.
Best example, Chile is a predominately Catholic (Christian) country based on
democracy (perhaps a tad socialist), but United Stes came in and installed
Pinochet. Other examples may include Philippines, Panama, Nicaragua,
Guatemala, Grenada, and some people say South Korea (I think 30% Christian,
became a dictatorship after Korean War, evolved into a democracy), Iran
(Muslim, but was democratic until we replaced the guy with the Shah).
So the anwer is, without US intervention, right-wing dictator normally don't
get power in Christian country (except during the facist era during WWII)
withought help of United States.
