Hi All,

I know this is not the right NG but I can´t find the right info on the
internet.

We are travelling to Cuba as tourists at the end of July.
But we don´t know wich creditcard or bankcard to use.
Are there enough banks etc.

Any suggestions?

If you have a VISA card, you can use it in most larger cities.
However, if you will travel the countryside extensively, you
will find many places without any bank services. Apart from the
hotels, few shops accept cards. The chain "Violeta" has a card
service. Don't rely only on the card, carry some loose dollars.
Store them in different places, there are pickpockets also in
Cuba.

You don't mention just how you will go as tourists. If you
are booked into a tourist hotel, you won't need a lot of money,
those places usually are with complete service. If you will go
on your own to different places, you will need to carry some
dollars too, because most of the time you won't find a convenient
bank. If you stay for example in "casas particulares", you cannot
pay with your card, but need about twenty dollars per night in cash.
