Yesterday, Secretary of State Rice offered $30 million in humanitarian aid
to Lebanon (with strings attached, of course). Just two days before Ms.
Rice's visit to Beirut, the Pentagon announced that it was expediting
shipments of precision bombs to Israel.

And so, with one hand, the Bush Administration supplies Israel with hundreds
of millions of dollars worth of bombs to displace Lebanese civilians. And
with the other hand, it offers to the Lebanese government a fraction of that
amount in humanitarian aid as a "gesture of goodwill" --or should I say,
Arab public relations?

Meanwhile, Ms. Rice reiterates the Bush Administration's position that an
immediate ceasefire (that could avoid additional human suffering) is
"unthinkable."

Condoleeza, come home! You are wasting everyone's time if you have nothing
new to bring to the table.

What do you expect? The US is doing nothing more than causing more problems
as they always do in the area. It should be clear to those who choose to
consider themselves Arabs(although it is clear that the Lebanese are of
European origins under Muslims rule) that the US is on the side of the Jews
and only 'acts' as if they care about both sides. If I were Lebanon I would
not even entertain the US visit. The US always continues it's strategy of
causing havoc, but trying to act as if they love and care about the same
people they are killing. Just like in Iraq. You cannot kill and love at
the same time.
