Militants beat girl to death in J&K

Jammu, Aug. 1. (PTI): In a gruesome act, Pakistani militants today
beat nine-year-old girl to death and critically injured her
11-year-old sister in Rajouri hills in Jammu and Kashmir.

A group of Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI) militants entered the house
of Nissar Hussain in Khabala village of Thanamandi and on not finding
him, caught hold of two daughters, police sources said.

They beat the two girls with gun to get information about their
father.

Nazia, who received serious head injury died on the spot while
Shareefa was critically wounded.

The injured girl was rushed to hospital by villagers.

A major combing operation has been launched to track down the
militants, the sources said.
