Baby Noor bids farewell to India

With a twinkle in her eyes and face lit with a smile, the
two-and-a-half-year-old Pakistani girl Noor Fatima, who successfully
underwent a heart surgery in Bangalore, left for home on Friday with
hundreds gathered here to bid farewell to her.

It was a touching moment for Noor's parents whose daughter had become
an overnight celebrity with newspersons flocking her and vying for her
attention, as they boarded the Delhi-Lahore bus from the Ambedkar
Stadium with gifts and good wishes of thousands of Indians.

Noor and her parents had arrived here in the Lahore-Delhi bus on July
11 when the service resumed after a gap of 18 months.

Expressing gratitude to the goodwill showed by Indians, a beaming
Tayyaba, mother of Noor, said, "the prayers and wishes of thousands of
people have succeeded" and termed this as the happiest moment of her
life.

Wearing a white frock and a cap, Noor, whose surgery symbolised the
renewed peace efforts between the two countries, waved cheerfully at
the mediapersons present at the terminal.

Dear Papa Pundit,

Thanks. I too, know all about it, rather more acutely, as i experience
humiliations heaped upon dalits by racist Brahiminis, since the days
of mahabharata. It is ingrained in their genes, to despise and look
down at, the inferior races, 430 millions of dalits.What to say of
Sikhs and Moslems and Christians!! Down with racists brahiminis !!
