Actually the Zoroastrians (at least in India) allow their daughters to marry
only Parsis or else they are expelled from the religion, I think that's a
form of racism.

Hi Asghar,
you have to realize that the older generation of Parsis is somewhat
influenced by the Indian Caste system. I believe someone mentioned to
me some time ago that the Revayat mention the conditions for
conversion and mixed marriages. I will have to read them myself
personally.
What I did read however was 10th century Zoroastrian laws that
specifically metnion the rules and regulations, as well as the
conditions for people who wish to embrace Zoroastrianism and this
includes mixed mariages as well as conversion of-even Muslims!

It is obvious that because of the dictatorship of Islam, Iranian
Zoroastrians ahven't been able to do much converting, until the time
of the late Shah. THe terrorist revolution of '79 put a halt to that
although tens of thousands of Iranians, as well as non-Iranians are
converting to Zoroastrianism.

As far as the Parsis are concerned, they used to allow that. Parsi men
did on occasion have relations with their housemaids and female
workers and there were mixtures over the centuries. After the arrival
of the British, the community acquired a great deal of economic
prosperity. naturally, the first people seeking conversion in India
are the untouchables and low castes who seek to escape form their
predicament. Christian missionaries target these people who seek a
away out of their lot. Parsis have feared that the prosperity and
wealth of the community was the factor drawing opportunists to
conversion. In reality, this would be a discredit to the Zoroastrians
religion for it would be like saying that the message of Zarathushtra
in itself is not enough to draw people towards it.

So, influenced by the Indian caste system as well as the desire to
maintain the community's ressources closed to potential opportunists,
the Parsis have largely remained to this day, a closed community
however, that is now changing under the weight of their Persian
co-religionists who are active in converting Iranian Muslims. The only
people still being loud about the no conversion and no mixed marriages
issues are a dwindling few aging old control freaks whose influence is
dwindling as fast as their numebers. And you are right, it is in a way
a form of racism.

Funny how as a Turk you have an Iranian name, which underlines the
mental state of you confused Turks who use Persian names, and Persian
as a litterary language and yet dream of a mythical past that only
exists in your Turkish minds, in which Persia was under the rule of

Iranians are now a mixture pf people because of the constant invasions
and migrations of people but the people who brought the Iranian
languages to Iran were Indo-Europeans whose language, physical
appearance and race was similar to Europeans today. After 4,000 years
of mixing and natural selection, it is natural that they acquired
features from the local and native people who inhabited the region
before them.

Just as the Turks seem to be a heterogenous mixture of God knows how
many people including Hittites, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Turkomans,
Arabs and Kurds. I see white Turks, dark Turks, light eyed Turks and
black eyed Turks.

Oh, I forgot, because you Turks have a little strip of land as big as
my backyard in Europe where the Serbs, Croats, Albanians,
Montenegrans, Bulgarians and Greeks haven't kicked you out, you
believe yourselves to be "EUROPEAN"!

First of all "Ala", just because your Islamic fundamentalist mind that
supports the terrorist Islamic Republic of Iran and its terrorist
murderers, thugs and butchers, doesn't mean everyone shares teh same
mentality as you and the likes of your suicide bomber pals in terms of
this religion against that or this people against that. That is just
the limitation of your primeval Islamic mind that can only grasp the
reptilian aspect of the Human mind.

Second, Zoraostrianism is not "going against Hinduism" in INdia.
Hindus, unlike the muslims, have shown respect and tolerance towards
members of all religions and given them a safe haven to follow their
own doctrines, as opposed to the murderous twisted ideology of Muslims
who are bent on killing anyone who does;t agree with them, so they can
lie to the world and present their religion as "peaceful" and their
religion as "growing", never mind the millions of former Muslims who
are leaving Islam every year worldwide.

Third of all, you speak of Zoroastrianism against Islam. Well for one
thing, Zoroastrianism is not going against Islam. Islam did a fine job
of doing that by itself and showing its barbaric, backwards and
retarded mentality and every single Muslim country can prove my point,
where murder, thugism, barbarism, illiteracy, poverty and dictatorship
are the rule of the day.
Islam has done enough to show its true face to its own memebrs who,
like yours truly have left this barbaric cult.

Yet you Muslims are gifted in the art of denial. You have millions of
Ibn Warraq and others like him and myself...yet you keep deluding
yourself that you are growing stronger and winning more minds when in
fact, you are losing.
Your murder of people like Ali Dashti and fatwas against Iranians and
other Muslims who leave Islam, once again, prove me right, that you
and Islam in general are engaged in a long cycle of self-destruction
that will not require anyone to physically go against you because your
numbers are depleted each year, in the hundreds of thousands
worldwide. The statistics speak for themselves in Europe, American and
Asia. Iranians, Tajiks, Pakistanis, Indians. Philipinos and even Arabs
are leaving Islam but by all means, don't let my words spoil your
fantasy.

Keep praying to your black stone and one day you'll wake up to go to
the mosque and see it transformed into a Buddhist temple, a Christian
church or a Zoroastrian Dar e Mehr!

this kind of talk from a member of a small religious group that
is going extinct soon is like the last desperate attampt b4
before being drowned. instead of meddling into iran's
internal affairs and worrying about the 1400 years
religion of iranians, why don't u spend time to
try to preserve the very few Zoro'ns left
so that they do not convert to hinduism
and christianity. islam has coexisted
w/ Zoro'ism since the beginning and
the Zoro'an community in iran is
a good testify. Zoro'ans are
accepted as the people of
the book very much like
judaism and christianity.
in fact, the Zoro'an
