No the OP was indeed the buffoon. In assuming that the unusual
colour of the droppings could in any way be species, rather than
diet, related.

That was the point I was making. A point which appaers, not
unsurprisingly perhaps, to have flown straight over the top
of your head. Whoooooooosh!

What I also noticed, and you maybe didn't, is that OP was recounting
his experiences in England.

But then, being an American perhaps you couldn't be expected to
know that throughout the British Isles, at a conservative estimate,
blackberry bushes both wild in the form of brambles, and cultivated,
probably outnumber the mainly cultivated black mulberry trees and
bushes in a ratio of approx 10,000:1.

Oh and one last thing. Unlike squirrel droppings, bird droppings are
notoriously difficult to remove from cars owing to their high liqid
content, in the form of urine. They thus tend to spread out more. They
are also highly acidic and thus harmful to paintwork if not removed
asap.

that way in your post. That is NOT what you said. You "appaered" to
make the categorical edict-from-on-high that *all" squirrel dropping are the same.

Well that would explain the stats then, if true.

What it means of course is that there is an awful lot of flitting,
scurrying, fluttering, nibbling things out there.... One more squished
squirrel isn't going to swing things the way of the rest of us
mammalians then.
