I guess it was Nik Warrensson <warrensson@yahoo.co.nz> who posted
this;

Rubbish see below

Ooops Poor Nik

Go on TELL ME WHY their web site is not called
" http://www.gaa.ie/Doire " After all anyone who see's them playing on
the screen will not know Doire is Londonderry will they ?
(Sounds like a Girls name)

Go on then, we are all waiting for you to write the pronunciation
for us to read how YOU say it, I'm sure Ger is hanging in the wings
waiting to bounce too :-)

you have tried this sort of thing before remember

IF anything Nik.... you are not just backing up what I have said
but enforcing the fact and PROVING me 110% correct , so come on
Give it a little Try and Prove this old Fool Wrong and WRITE "LondonDerry" for me

I thought So , Will I get the bucket for you :-0
See... only when forced to it you admit Republicans are so ashamed
that they will cut out their tongue for being such traitors, is it a
Green Book offence, will you get thrown out of your Sacred IRA/SF
group for still breathing After you said LondonDerry.
go on Say it Nik! Come on ya boy Write it Nik!!

you never answered the question A,B or C?
to help you ... why is it not C or A

Where is Doire? There is no such place in existence, only in myths
and Legions, Supporters Do not even chant Dorie at the matches
They shout Derry (even throw in a few Sectarian rants, but we best
leave that off the subject for now)

No, I Was not Questioning what the orig was , I was Saying many do
not even know it, In Fact it was Me (a foreigner) who Bought the Word
"Doire" in to the thread to keep an even balance on the thread Title

As expected , Ger has.. Thanks Ger!!1

You are not with it today are you Nik
The same Royal Families Renamed both places
under the same rules regimes, For you to argue (with such Venom) one
place then, it is pure hypocraZy for you to ignore the other

Ancestors??
I suppose you have Blood from the Tlingits or the Ulno Tribe
Sorry Nik your bloodline Claim Means you and Falcon are related

Not at all nik, you gave a SF/IRA answer...ie... none at all.

Give them My condolences,

Oh no..... give the 'Kiwi's' my condolences, :-)

Oh you mean your wife, that explains it
( you tried that one on me before)

Eh what are you on, let alone on about ?
The Thread title is on the Name of LondonDerry
The use of the 'Name' Derry, Doire or LondonDerry
is all about prejudices of some side or another
and is what was (trollistically) asked about

Come on Nik Write LondonDerry for us
(It will not break your computer)

Scríobh Telmey® (telmey®@ntlworld.moc):

Nah, the map is right for where its printed. Laws passed by medieval
English kings don't have much credence round our way.

A cousin of mine proposed exactly that a while back. Irish places
names, be it Derry and Dublin, or Belfast and Bundoran, are gibberish
syllables in English. It would make much more sense to render them in
a language where they make sense. Doire, Atha Cliath, Béal Feirste...

Check the Irish Times website for the resulting debate.

That is up to the people of Sri Lanka to decide. Go with local usage.

[snip list]

That's up to them.

Well nickyboy, you combat engineer you, I bought one from the Sinnfien/IRA
offices and it stated LONDONDERRY, on the map, still have it.
What do combat engineers really do, cos they take part in combat do they ?

Gee...I'll have to tell my Physics lecturers that I'm too thick to
carry on with my post-graduate study...

Wimp...macho posturing from behind a computer keyboard...**** thats brave of you...moron.

I note that there's not even any attempt made at justifying your claim
above nor answering my question.

On the charge of "Being at least as stupid as Harry Merrick, the court
finds you guilty as charged....the sentence being to be placed into
killfile, permanently, seeing as nothing sensible comes out of your mouth"....

My squadron base was right beside the REMF. I was however a Combat
Engineer, for some years, contrary to what you might want to think.
'Sapper' would be a more appropriate term for you to use...

Quite the reverse Nik, he would have had the correct and official maps
where you would have had republican propaganda doctored maps as used
by the SF/IRA active service units of the republican movement while on
bombing missions like Omagh, it explains a lot, including why they
got the streets wrong and they probably meant to bomb the town of
Og Magh (the little plain)
