Isn't health benefits one of the major things rednecks constantly whine
when they complain about all the benefits Mexicans get? Here are some points from a new study: -- Health insurance coverage for Mexicans is obtained primarily through private insurance (32 percent). Just 15 percent of this population participates in governmental health insurance programs, representing 3 percent of the U.S. population using these programs. -- Immigrants from Mexico use emergency rooms about half as often as the U.S.-born, whether white or Mexican American. "Given the occupations that Mexican immigrants are most likely to hold, they are also expected to experience more accidents or illnesses that require emergency room use," stated Xochitl Castaneda, Director, California Mexico Health Initiative. "However, the costs of emergency room use by immigrants appear relatively low, despite their occupational risks and low rates of having a usual source of care," concluded Ms. Castaneda. -- Of the 10.2 million Mexican immigrants living in the United States, more than half (5.9 million persons) do not have health insurance. This number increases among recent immigrants of whom 70 percent lack coverage. -- Significant inequalities are observed in the same occupations. For example, on those associated with cleaning, maintenance, and food preparation, 77% of the recent Mexican immigrants have no health insurance, compared with only 30% of the U.S.-born whites. Similarly, in professional occupations, 44% of recent Mexican immigrants are uninsured compared to 8% of the U.S.-born white population. -- Within Mexican families, inequalities vis-a-vis access to medical insurance is also found. Of the 3.9 million Mexican-headed households, 2.7 million (69%) include members under 18 years of age. In 27% of Mexican-headed households, none of the minors are insured. Insured children tend to be those born in the U.S., while often those without coverage were born in Mexico. http://home.businesswire.com/portal/... 6&newsLang=en |

yeah, and apparently not so much in healthcare.. hahaha. And not
everybody agrees with you on the others either. Here are some links to a study which I had posted a while back that claim immigration is actually positive: http://migration.ucdavis.edu/mn/more.php?id=1246_0_2_0 http://www.visalaw.com/97jun/12jun97.html http://www.fitzgeraldlawcompany.com/...50624-news.htm everybody had all kinds of opinions and interpretations on these, but nobody could pull out any better study to refute these. I mean they are from renowned and prestigious organizations and its pretty clear what they are saying and concluding. Hey if you are going to provide links with other studies trying to refute this, at least try and pull it out of somewhere with a bit of prestige. Any crap from nazi websites like the borderpatrol vdare will not help your case, get real kiddies please. LOL. Well at least you admit that the assumptions about Mexicans and healthcare could be wrong. And man, you must be blind and deaf because that is one of the things that racists have been whining about all this time like dumb little retards. Just some piece of advice: if you are going to cry about something incessantly at least make sure its grounded on, umm.. actual evidece. YEAH> Otherwise be prepared to become the laughing stock when serious research on the subject is made. But, well what do you expect, everybody knows racists are the laughing stock of the world. (sorry but its true, the 20's are over) And you know what, when racists are proven dead wrong about assumptions they constantly complain about and use as ammunition for their lame "hate movement" disguised as patriotism you can bet your ass that most likely a lot more if not everything else they claim about Mexicans is just the same: pure BS. Moral of story: don't be led by fools and never trust racist dummies, ever. These rednecks don't know shit of what they are talking about. |
