stupid remark by the mexican president (Fox talking about AA community)
Geez, you ARE ignorant of black history.
And ignorant. The Congressional Black Caucus was freely formed by
*black* members of Congress several decades ago. And we all know
that if someone tried to form a "Congressional White Caucus", he'd be
expelled from Congress within hours. So, in a way, you're right,
there IS a double standard here.
No one (except maybe Jackson himself) has suggested that the title was
"transferred" him upon MLK's death (Jackson was only in his 20's and
just a junior member of MLK's team when MLK died). But Jackson went
on to receive millions of black votes during his 2 presidential runs,
thus being acknowledged as A black leader, but not THE black leader --
there hasn't been one clear-cut black leader since 1968.
President. In a few primary states, generally those with significant
black populations. No one, including him, actually ever believed he
would get the Democratic nomination, let alone win.
Hard to say. They both have lots of baggage, but I think only Barry
has the jail time. If you think that gives Barry an advantage in the
`hood, it may say all that needs to be said about yer perspective.
But I can think of lots of better candidates than those 2.
