Pakistan considering recognition: US Jews

WASHINGTON, Sept 3: A staunch pro-Israeli lobby group in the United
States has approached Muslim religious groups in North America in an
attempt to neutralize their opposition to the state of Israel.

In a recent letter sent to an organization dominated by Muslims from
Pakistan and India, the American Jewish Congress offers friendship
with all Muslims and security for sacred Islamic places in Israel if
they stop opposing the Jewish state.

"We are most interested in the careful pursuit of possible areas of
agreement and common ground - not because we think agreement will be
easy to achieve but because continued tensions and hostility threaten
both communities," says the letter sent to the Islamic Circle of North
America.

The message is aimed particularly at Pakistan because the senders
believe they have seen indications that Islamabad is toying with the
idea of granting diplomatic recognition to Israel.

They refer to a statement by President Musharraf during a visit to
Washington in late June, when he told reporters that "recognizing
Israel will not bring down the skies. If the Arabs are recognizing it,
we also ought to reconsider our policies towards Israel."

Good begining. But words must be backed by some visible and bold
steps to convince the paki religious leaders of the sincerety of the
approach. Mushy's survival depends upon their goodwill towards him.

Mushy doesn't really have much choice.When you have American standing
over your shoulder then you'd recognize anyone!

Sadly for the pres of Pakistan,he has spent too much time and money in
the past funding mad muslims who want to kill every jew on the
planet,as well as every hindu,christian and secularist.

This is good. Pakistan must recognize Israel and establish full diplomatic
ties with it. Pakistan need to stop letting the Palestinians blackmail it.
Israel has never done anything wrong to Pakistan.

Also, Pakistan needs to declare a national holiday called Daniel Perl day.

I believe I said India is a "failed" democracy. I honestly feel that way.
Can a non-Jew ever be a PM in Israel. Is the religious council of Rabbi not
the one controlling everyday aspect of people's lives in Israel? Was Israel
not formed for one religion: Judaism.
