British "racists" to be sent abroad for punishment
of serious injury cannot alone justify suppression of free speech and
assembly. Men feared witches and burned women. It is the function of
speech to free men from the ******* of irrational fears."
and,also,::"Censorship reflects society's lack of confidence in
itself. It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime." and, also: "The
greatest dangers to liberty lurk in the insidious encroachment by men
of zeal, well meaning, without understanding."
The first government that allowed that to happen to someone who the
rest of country actually wanted to keep, would be voted out of power
within five years, if their representative MPs individually survived
to get there.
It's such a contentious issue, Brussel power over London, that I doubt
it would be even safe for politicians to walk the streets if they
sanctioned the law.
