certainly changing in character, but so it did when the horse was first
put on to it. The horse has changed its state, from scrub to rough
grazing, but at no time was it ever in "balance" as scrub or

any little imbalance", because it never was "imbalanced", it was just
changing to a different state. And it is not going to stop as scrub
because that is not a climax vegetation and so it will, if left alone,
gradually become a wood. There is no "imbalance" or "balance" involved,
merely a state of change from one ecosystem to another and then to
another and another, always changing, always being modified, never
stopping and so never reaching any kind of "balance".


I'm not being pedantic. I'm saying that what you are claiming exists
doesn't exist. And because it doesn't exist there is no possibility of
"nature" seeking it.

You need to go and study the various definitions of, "Balance" and, "Seek".
No matter what state anything is in, it is in a state of change. The reason
it is changing is because ,"Every action has an opposite and equal
reaction". So what is that reaction doing? Redressing the balance. However
you please yourself what you want to believe.
